ECOTHERAPIST . EDUCATOR . EXPERIENTIAL PROGRAM DESIGNER

Nature,

Applied.

Drawing from biophilia and ecotherapy principles, Lauren develops programs, professional practices, and land-based projects with nature to improve how people feel, connect, learn, and engage.

The result is more meaningful experiences, stronger outcomes for people and place, and projects with greater distinction, relevance, and long-term commercial value.

On Location

Expanding retreats, workshops, and learning programs beyond itinerary and talk-based theory into participatory experiences that elevate the content, deepen transformation, and activate the spaces in which they occur.

Education and training for clinicians, practitioners, facilitators, and placemakers to apply ecological and psychological principles within their existing fields, strengthening participant engagement and improving outcomes.

Advising place-based projects on staff education, operating procedures, land use, and nature-connected programming to support personal change, strengthen culture and community, and create a more reciprocal relationship with the surrounding environment while incorporating marketing strategies, brand voice, and scale.

Upcoming Courses

LEARN APPLIED ECOTHERAPY + BIOPHILIA

Nature-based practices for clinicians, facilitators, and self-inquiring individuals.

This program series trains practitioners and clinicians in the principles and practice of applied ecotherapy and biophilia. This focus moves nature-based work from abstract, intuitive ideas into well-designed tools clinicians and facilitators can implement across disciplines while remaining grounded in current research.

Curriculum extends the knowledge base beyond theory into the practical use and emergent science of nature-based concepts, exercises, and systems across multidisciplinary fields, resulting in a practitioner clear about the scope and effects of nature-based work and able to confidently integrate it into private practice while deepening sense of care, reciprocity, and right relationship with the natural world that directly translates to personal capacity and client outcomes.

IMPACT NOTE: This body of work is shaped in ongoing relationship with the Chaikuni Institute and Indigenous communities in the Peruvian Amazon. A portion of proceeds supports Chaikuni's conservation and reforestation efforts — meaning each registrant plants seeds, literally, for participants and for communities across the world.

BEYOND THE BUILDING

Applying biophilic principles and ecotherapy to programs, people and practice. An inquiry into what happens when nature-centered design continues beyond the physical environment and into the experiences, relationships and culture of a place.

RELATIONSHIP BY DESIGN

Not only whether nature is present, but how people encounter it, participate in it, and develop a meaningful relationship with place.

Resourcing from both fields means expanding upon input and outcome to answer:

How can well-built design, intelligent programming, and interaction with nature directly shape physiological and psychological states to yield better results…

not only for the planet, but for the health of people, place, and business?

The professional development program Lauren delivered provided our cohort with innovative ways to incorporate ecotherapy principles into their existing teaching methods, enhancing both professional skills and personal well-being.

The hands-on activities demonstrated how engagement with the land can renew a sense of connection to nature, and a clear understanding of how to leverage its benefits in teaching practice to improve students’ mental health and learning outcomes.”
